Video Team

The Video team handles video recording, streaming and announcing of the speakers.

Mike Mikjaer and BlackThorne / JVR handle the technical parts of the setup, and volunteers manage the actual recording and announcing.

We will be working in shifts of three and the equipment is really easy to use - and we of course provide training. You don't need any special qualifications. If you can work a laptop and point a camera, we will teach you the rest.

The technical stuff: We use Open Broadcast Studio, and a setup of HDMI splitters / grabbers, to get the desired streams. The OBS setup is mixing the output, and streaming directly to YouTube.

BornHack 2019 teams primarily use mailing lists and IRC to communicate. The Video team can be contacted in the following ways:
