The increasing reliance on cloud service providers allows companies and organizations to drastically lessen the burden of setting up and managing their IT infrastructures. This reliance comes with a wide variety of trade offs and drawbacks, however. In this talk, we will look at the challenges faced when attempting to resolve, mitigate, and correct issues in the software and services that you're already paying to use. Specifically, we will examine how a bug in the HTTP/2 implementation of the AWS Application Load Balancer product was identified, and how it took more than 6 months to have it fixed.
