This talk provides an overview of the Toniebox, an audio player controlled by figurines. After an introduction to the intended functionality of the box, the close integration with the manufacturer's cloud and the technical limits, there will be given an insight into the hardware, the different variants of the box and an analysis of the NFC tags used in the figures. TeddyBench and TeddyCloud are then presented. TeddyBench is an open source offline editor that can be used to create and manage audio data for your own NFC tags. TeddyCloud is an alternative server for the Toniebox, allowing to host the cloud services locally and sending usage data via MQTT (e.g. Home Assistant). Finally, some hardware modifications are shown and the mystery of why it is absolutely necessary to have n+1 boxes is solved.
