how to hunt for free mcu boards. weather services are launching helium balloons twice a day from dozens of stations all over Europe. sondes transmit their data including gns position during their ascent and fall. Several web services offer life predictions using a weather model. Goal of this fun activity are "live landings": observe the touchdown. or at least to be the first person on site able to collect the remains of styrofoam, about 50m of thin rope, the parachute and the latex shreds. this talk describes the process from spotting to retrieval tactics.
