Building Interactive Programs for the Command Line Feedback

Among command line programs are some of the most powerful data processing tools in existence. By using the C Standard library they can work on all widely used operating systems with little to no additional dependencies. In this workshop you'll learn the basics of how your terminal program works, as well as how to use common terminal features to style text, respond to keyboard input, and make interactive programs. We'll use Rust so we can have the control of a systems level language and great developer ergonomics.

Requirements: You can use any POSIX compatible OS, or Windows 10 or 11 (or a terminal like git bash if you're using a Windows version earlier than 10). You'll need some basic programming knowledge to understand the material, and Rust knowledge to follow along in the workshop. The Rust Book (https://doc.rust-lang.org/stable/book/) and Rustlings (https://github.com/rust-lang/rustlings) are typically recommend resources for learning Rust, and finishing either one will teach you all the Rust you'll need to know for the workshop.
