I have done a few very small patches for open source programs, but would like to do more.
But how?%&!
I have a plan to do pull requests for a few select open source programs I use myself, but its hard. I am not a great programmer, I am a noob in Git, and I speak english as a second language.
Lets do an informal workshop, where we sit together and talk about joining open source projects. Talk about how to get started. I can brag about a few very minor updates, and it is important to celebrate success. So lets do it!
Note: I recently read the fun and practical guide, Forge Your Future with Open Source Build Your Skills. Build Your Network. Build the Future of Technology. by VM (Vicky) Brasseur https://pragprog.com/titles/vbopens/forge-your-future-with-open-source/
I will try to bring my copy, and can highly recommend it!
