First BornHack ’24 and first congress 38c3. I used to teach at the university level, mostly media stuff, but also design theory and design of IT. Switched careers to infosec after being diagnosed AuDHD in 2022. I may have a tendency to unnecessarily fix things that aren’t fixed and clean things that aren’t clean (sorry about this). Generally feel comfortable around any kind of vehicle, machine or device. Comfortable, not competent.

I have some second hand clothes that I want to repair and I may not be the only one, so I propose a second hand gear hacking workshop. I'll bring materials for sewing, embroidery, mending of socks, needles and thread for leatherwork plus repair patches for tents, sleeping bags and inflatable mattresses. I'll see if I can get hold of some scraps of textiles and leather as well. If we run out of materials, we might organize a raid to nearby second hand shops.
