Preparations for BornHack 2026 are ongoing and it's time to lock in on this years tagline and year specific logo, used on the website, presentations, merch clothing, stickers, etc.

The theme color for this year is white (#ffffff), the last in our rainbow before we start over in 2027.

We are now opening up the BornHack 2026 tagline and design contest, so please be creative and get your submission in before May 9th 2026

There are two elements:

• The tagline
• The year specific logo

The tagline needs to be a short text, catchy, usually two or maybe three short words, that has some meaning to our shared community and ideally to this year and specific event.

The logo needs to be something that can work on both dark and light backgrounds. This can either be the same logo or different variations (eg. with different colors for some parts).

The merchandise clothing (hoodies and t-shirts) are black, though we are also considering doing an experiment with a white t-shirt as an option this year.

In recent years, the merchandise have been produced with silkscreen printed heat transfers using spot color. This puts a limit on the number of simultaneous colors (to keep cost down), though this technique isn't a solid requirement, if you have a suggestion for a viable alternative.

In regards to stickers, the tradition is to have two different sizes (100x40mm and 40x55mm), with the year color as the background (CMYK color print), and we would like to continue with that, but could optionally have an additional size/shape if you have made a cool design that falls outside of the above.

Our asset repository have most of the artwork for the previous years for those that don't already have their own collection of merch and stickers from past BornHack events.

In the "generic" folder, you will also find assets of our main BornHack logo and tent laptop artwork to use in your design.

Submission info

BornHack needs to be granted a license for a winning entry, that allows BornHack to use the submission in all scenarios and media and in perpetuity (including commercial use and variations).

Please send your submission to info@bornhack.dk with the subject "Design contest 2026" no later than May 9th, 2026.

You can submit either just a tagline or a combination of tagline and logo/artwork.

If submitting artwork, please submit at least a PDF file that shows the artwork without needing a special program to open it. Winning entries will need to supply BornHack with editable source files, preferably vector format where it makes sense.
