High-level overview of how routing works, in a multi-homed network (ie. a network with multiple paths to the rest of the internet).

After this talk you should have a good understanding of which assumptions you can make about how and why routing decisions are made by BGP routers on the Internet, and the difference between stateful and stateless routing/firewalling, and when and where to use which.

How to provide co-location services for small embedded member servers.

In Labitat we are operating a co-location facility, for embedded systems, called Labicolo.

I will present how I setup a qemu hook in libvirt to configure routed subnets, so individual IP's can move between nodes with dynamic routing (using bird), thereby reducing IPs wasted on network, gateway and broadcast addresses.
