Thomas Hedberg

Thomas Hedberg started using IT when DOS was an operating system and not a form of attack. His first network was build using homemade serial cables and he has a 20+ year background working as a Security and IT Professional primarily in the outsourcing industry.

Today Thomas works in a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) position where he works within areas such as Risk Management, Personal Data Protection, Security Awareness, Hardening, Vulnerability Management and Business Continuity using standardized security frameworks such as ISO27001.

Privately Thomas lives in Vest Sjaelland Sealand, is married and has two kids. He is an AFOL, enjoys cooking and is not ashamed of his mixture of closed- and open source components on his home network. He enjoys playing with especially network enabled gadgets, taking things apart to discover how they work and recently put together a stratum 1 time server that is now a part of the pool.ntp.org project.
