epth: CSP does not replace output encoding and sanitization\, but it can s
top injected scripts from executing when undiscovered sanitization bugs sl
ip through. In other words\, it raises the bar for attackers and turns sil

No\n\nWorkshop: Getting Started with Network Packets – from ping to 100G
\n\nDo you want to understand what's actually happening down in the layers
beneath HTTP? This beginner-friendly workshop takes you from familiar com
mand-line tools like ping and Nmap\, through packet manipulation with Pyth
on/Scapy\, and on to high-performance packet generation with LuaJIT and DP
DK via libmoon/MoonGen.\n\nAfter a short introductory presentation (~25 sl
ides)\, you'll get straight to work. Exercises are hands-on and progressiv
e – starting easy and getting more involved as you go. Early exercises i
nclude running Nmap to discover hosts on a network and observing ping and
ICMP traffic live in Wireshark. From there we build up to constructing and
sending your own packets\, understanding why this doesn't require low-lev
el C programming\, and exploring what it takes to reach wirespeed at 10G
 – and potentially 100G.\n\nNo prior experience with network programming
is required. If you're comfortable with a Linux terminal and curious about
what's happening on the wire\, you're ready for this workshop.\n\nPartici
pants should bring: A laptop with a virtual machine running Debian or Kali
Linux\, with Wireshark\, Tcpdump\, Python and Nmap installed.

no Linux wizardry\, no assumptions.\nTogether we'll answer the question:
what is a container\, and why does everyone keep using them? Then we'll ge
t our hands dirty and pulling an image\, running it\, looking inside\, and
building a tiny something of your own. By the end you'll have run real co

jump into all those conversations.\nNo experience required. Bring a lapto

a small set of beginner-friendly knots. These are practical ties you can
use at home and that form the base for more complex work later.\n\nThis is
a peer-based workshop aimed at complete beginners. No prior experience is
needed. Singles\, pairs\, and small groups are all welcome.\n\nThe worksh
op runs in lab mode. There is no sexual content and everyone remains fully
clothed. The space is 18+ only.\nPlease be sober.\n\nBring your own non-s

g a blanket or cushion to sit on the floor comfortably. There is no dress

 -international-network-against-data-centers/\n\nSpeaker(s): Datacenterkrit
 isk Arbejdsgruppe\n\nRecorded: No\n\nStreamed: No\n\nThe world currently f
inds itself in the midst of a feverish data center construction boom. New
projects are being announced on a weekly basis\, each with a greater watta
ge than the previous. Tall tales of sustainability are omnipresent in pres
s releases\, and lobby groups pride themselves of representing the compani
es that are building the very backbone of the digital transformation.\n\nH
owever\, data centers are power hungry\, thirsty\, noisy and not least ugl
 y. They currently represent 2% of global power usage. In Denmark\, they ar
e on track to consume 20% of the total annual power consumption by 2030.\n
\nThus far\, the industry has successfully sold their visions to local pol
iticians who welcome any investment with open arms. This is a huge democra
tic issue: power is a public good which we all rely on. The build-out of n
ew data centers will increase power bills and destabilize the grid\, and i
n worst case cause brownouts. Not to mention the climate and environmental
destruction which will follow.\n\nThat is why this topic needs much more
attention.\n\nTherefore\, we invite European and international hackers\, g
rassroot activists\, civil society organizations\, local politicians and m
edia to a workshop where we focus on how to resist and to stop new data ce
nters.\n\nWe'll present studies that show why data centers are harmful for
local communities\, the environment\, the climate and European independen
ce on foreign tech.\n\nWe'll give an overview of groups and organizations
that oppose data centers in Europe and examples of their accomplishments.\
n\nFinally\, but most importantly\, we invite you participants to help cre
ate an international "stop data center network"\, where knowledge\, experi
 ences\, strategies\, tools\, campaigns etc. can be shared.\n\nWe'll treat
participants with coffee\, cookies and a cold soda or beer.
